SELFHOOD activates since 2001 as an independent entity, a qualified body which operates in the interest of the agriculture community and whose main objectives are to participate in the sustainable rural development, creation and continuous training and development of village community, agriculture advisors, and farmers. During this period, SELFHOOD prepared, developed and implemented more than 80 national projects such as Good Agriculture Practices for Farmers, Compulsory Trainings for Farmers Advisors in collaboration with the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture, Long-life Adult Education and Young Farmers Entrepreneurs. Selfhood, due to its vast experience and professional top expertise, was permanently requested to offer consultancy for HCA in regard to Agriculture Policies development and continuous improvement. Also, in the last 5 years, Selfhood engaged itself in research activities in collaboration with research and academic environment (MATE University from Hungary and Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Timisoara from Romania) and joint curricula development for rural development.
